KALAMAZOO, MI — Before and after Will McAvoy, there’s always a guitar for Jeff Daniels.
Actor and songwriter Jeff Daniels, a native of Chelsea, is fresh off an Emmy Award win for his portrayal of the TV news anchor on the HBO hit, “The Newsroom,” and a couple months removed from filming, “Dumb and Dumber To.” But the rest of this month, and on Feb. 1 for the Ann Arbor Folk Festival, Daniels and his custom Martin guitar, will pound the pavement playing his folk and blues music. It’s an outlet Daniels, who will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Kalamazoo State Theatre, says he’s continually honing.
