The Bay City Times – Jeff Daniels returns to stage at Bay City’s historic State Theatre, this time with his son’s band

BAY CITY, MI — Jeff Daniels returned to the stage of the historic State Theatre for the second time this year on Wednesday, only this time he brought some other musicians with him.

Daniels performed alongside his son, Ben Daniels and the Ben Daniels Band in front of a packed house of the downtown Bay City theatre, 913 Washington Ave.

The Emmy Award-winning actor, singer, songwriter and Michigan native also performed a solo set and observed as the band took a set of its own.

“I’ll tell you what. This was a show nobody would want to miss,” said Mike Bacigalupo, chief operating officer at the State Theatre. “The minute I walked in and said hi to Jeff, he told me he was so happy to kick off the tour in Bay City. He said having this venue and this audience is just what they needed.”
