CHELSEA, Mich. – If you want to avoid Jeff Daniels this month, you won’t have much success.
The actor is in the middle of a career explosion, debuting the third and final season of The Newsroom, and the sequel he’s waited 20 years to make, Dumb and Dumber To.
Daniels laughs at the notion he’s unavoidable these days. The 59-year old says success is a limo ride, and it will be someone else’s turn next.
But it’s been his turn for a while, and even with all of the attention, he still embraces the place he calls home.
“Michigan’s always been home to me and Kathleen, and the kids. The support I get from here is not lost on me. It’s appreciated, and I try to return it,” Daniels explains in an interview at his Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea.
