Review: Multi-talented Jeff Daniels Dazzles at the Acorn Theater

Inside the sold-out Acorn Theater on Saturday, audience members were treated to the kind of show that is meant to be played at that venue.

More widely known as an actor, Jeff Daniels, alongside his son Ben Daniels, daughter-in-law Amanda Daniels and the Ben Daniels Band spent more than two hours proving that the talent well in the Daniels family runs deep.

For those in attendance not as familiar with the musical side of the actor and playwright, Daniels eased them in by kicking off the show solo, with a pair of comedic bluesy songs that showed not only his talent as a guitarist but his ability to write a humorous song without it entering into the realm of cheesy.
