Jeff Daniels Had Stories to Tell at 54 Below

Jeff Daniels’s folksy monologue “Recreational Vehicle” is only half as long as its prototype, Arlo Guthrie’s “Alice’s Restaurant.” But this rambling true story of a family road trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y., in a 28-foot “Jayco Winnebago” driven by Mr. Daniels has a similar thread of absurdist, self-deprecating humor and is almost as funny.
